Doris Jin Huang is a Specialist in Indian, Himalayan & Southeast Asian art at Bonhams, based in New York and overseeing sales in Hong Kong as well.
Since joining the company, she has brought a number of important artworks to auction, including an 18th-century sculptural mandala of Chakrasamvara, which sold for US$325,075, and a 17th-century gilt bronze sculpture of Panjaranata Mahakala, which sold for US$980,075.
Doris has also been pivotal to the successful sale of the Ulrich Von Schroeder Collection, the Phillip Adams Collection, and selections from the Nyingjei Lam Collection at Bonhams.
Prior to her career in the art business, Doris was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, with focus on IPO and M&A in healthcare and consumer retail industries. She has also held positions with a contemporary art gallery and another international auctioneer. Born in Beijing and having lived in Hong Kong, Paris and New York, Doris is fluent in English and Mandarin, with working knowledge of French and Cantonese.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Tsinghua University, and a Master's Degree in History of Art and Design from Pratt Institute.
